Mopane (Colophospermum mopane)is a shrub or small tree that grows in the far northern parts of South Africa, into Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, Angola and Malawi.
Mopane is a very durable and hard wood with a high density. The heartwood is reddish brown and the sapwood is a pale yellow.
