- Leadwood can be found in all bushveld regions and in mixed forest in southern Africa.
- The hardwood used to create the Oldroot mills / grinders is sourced from dead and fallen trees in the forest, making use of a sustainable source in an ethical way.
- Each unique artwork is handmade from a solid natural wooden piece.
